Make a tangible difference to children’s lives across Cornwall as a Children's Community Nurse with Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, based at Truro Health Park (TR1 2JA) with requirement to travel county wide. This permanent Band 6 post pays £38,682–£46,580 per year (pro rata), is 37.5 hours per week usually worked over four days, and offers part‑time options to discuss. Two vacancies have arisen as the service expands to a seven‑day model; weekend and bank‑holiday working and an on‑call commitment for end‑of‑life care are part of the role. Please note this vacancy is currently open only to staff already employed by Cornwall Foundation Trust, Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust or the Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board.
You will hold your own caseload and use advanced paediatric nursing skills to care for acutely unwell children and those with complex, long‑term or palliative needs — clinical duties include IV therapy, central‑line and tracheostomy care, enteral feeding and detailed clinical assessment. NMC registration and RN Child/RSCN qualification (plus relevant specialist training or experience) are essential; a Disclosure and Barring Service check is required. The role delivers variety — home visits, community clinics and liaison with acute teams — within an established, supportive team that values training and flexible working.
