Support patients through their endoscopy journey at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust. As a Healthcare Assistant (Endoscopy) you’ll be based at either Sunderland Royal Hospital (SR4 7TP) or South Tyneside District Hospital (NE34 0PL) with cross‑site working expected. The role involves assisting registered nurses before, during and after endoscopic procedures, acting as the second assistant during procedures, supporting decontamination and maintaining accurate records. Shifts are mainly Monday–Friday with some evenings, weekends and participation in an out‑of‑hours on‑call rota. This permanent, full‑time post is Band 2 (£24,465) rising to Band 3 (£24,937–£26,598) on successful completion of the Care Certificate and consolidated learning. Please note Skilled Worker sponsorship is not available for this role and appointment is subject to a DBS check.
