Lead District Nursing in Barrow with University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust as a permanent Band 6 Team Lead District Nursing based at Barrow Town (LA13 9AH). This full-time role (37.5 hours) pays £38,682–£46,580 (Agenda for Change) and involves clinical leadership across the Furness district and integrated care communities. You will manage and develop a skilled team, undertake complex nursing assessments, co-ordinate care with MDT partners to prevent admissions and support discharge, and deliver high-quality, person-centred community nursing across homes, clinics and community sites, including weekend and bank-holiday duties.
This role suits an experienced community nurse (1st level registration) with leadership experience, teaching/mentor skills and demonstrable advanced clinical competence, or someone working towards post-registration qualifications. You will need a full UK driving licence and use of a vehicle, current UK professional registration and willingness to undergo DBS checks.
