An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Advanced Nurse or Paramedic to join our CQC rated 'Outstanding' Trust, within our Urgent Care Service. Based at West Berkshire Community Hospital, you will be working in a passionate integrated team operating in partnership with the Out of Hours GPs, Practitioners and other multidisciplinary teams within Berkshire Healthcare. As an Advanced Nurse or Paramedic Practitioner you will be working autonomously within both the Minor Injuries Unit and Out of Hours Service to provide advanced clinical assessment skills through telephone triage and face to face consultations to diagnose and treat patients with a variety of illness and injury presentations. Practice at an advanced level, working as an autonomous practitioner within the MDT to deliver high quality urgent care to patients Take responsibility and be accountable in assessing, diagnosing, treating or referring patients Undertake telephone triage work and telephone advice calls Mobile visiting to assess, diagnose and treat patients in their own homes Request and interpret tests appropriate to patient's needs Working varied shifts including evenings, weekends and occasional nights As an independent prescriber, prescribe medicines in accordance with NMC/HCPC guidance and national policy "}
