As a paediatric critical care outreach nurse, you will have advanced clinical assessment and decision-making skills and will act as a professional role model, supporting, educating and developing new and existing nurses and junior medical staff in paediatric acute and high dependency care across the whole of the children's hospital. This role allows experienced and senior nurses the opportunity to focus on clinical care delivery and education for our higher acuity patient group. The PCCOT are involved in leading on clinical management pathways for patients, ensuring a high standard of holistic, evidence-based care is achieved and maintained in all clinical areas. The successful applicants will be expected to work autonomously across all areas of the hospital, leading, managing and supervising the assessment of care. Main duties of the job Applicants are required to be RSCN or RN-Part 15 (Child Branch) and have a post-registration qualification in a related acute paediatric field. You will have excellent communication skills, proven acute paediatric clinical skills together with organisational, leadership and management expertise. Previous experience as an Outreach Nurse is desirable.
