NHS Lothian Pharmacy & Medicines Service St John’s Hospital Pharmacy Support Worker – Higher Level Band 3, 1 wte, 37 hours, - Permanent £25,468 - £27,468 NHS Lothian covers Edinburgh city, East Lothian, Midlothian and West Lothian. We are the second largest health system in NHS Scotland and one of only four teaching Boards. We have strategic partnerships with local Universities, Local Authorities and our four Integration Joint Boards. We serve a population of 900,000, providing a range of primary, community based and acute hospital services. We also provide regional and national services across a range of clinical specialties. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to work within the clinical and technical teams as a Pharmacy Support Worker - Higher Level. As a Pharmacy Support Worker within hospital services you will be part of well-established teams, delivering high quality pharmaceutical care to patients. You will participate in assisting in the provision of a range of pharmacy services both on the ward and within the Pharmacy department. This will involve competencies within dispensary, distribution, and clinical. The successful candidate must be educated to SCQF Level 6 with relevant work experience in a healthcare or pharmacy environment. The completion of an in-house competency-based Group Award accredited via Edinburgh College within 12 months of commencing the post will also be required as well as the completion of in-house training programmes to demonstrate competency. Successful candidates will have an enthusiasm for learning and development, a professional attitude, and a passion for working in healthcare with the potential to contribute to the delivery of our high-quality pharmaceutical care.
