We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Occupational therapist to join our team. To work as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team of staff within the Stroke Rehabilitation service based at Brentwood Community Hospital. To promote, maintain and develop a high quality, efficient and effective Occupational therapy service to patients referred to the Mid Essex Stroke rehabilitation service, in accordance with the philosophy and operational policies of the team. To manage a complex caseload within stroke care using knowledge based clinical reasoning, critical thinking, reflection and analysis to support assessments using a client centred, goal-orientated rehabilitation programme. To be an active member of the stroke team, and participate in specific clinical projects as agreed and supported by the Team Leader, and to participate in service developments, audit and review of the stroke service. To provide supervision as required to therapy assistants and occupational therapy students whilst on placement in the service. To contribute to induction and training for junior staff, therapy assistants, students, other disciplines and carers To be actively involved in Continuing Professional Development.
