General 1 To provide a professional service to our multilingual diverse practice population using available resources including interpreters to aid effective communication. Clinical 1 New Patient Checks 2 Other Health Checks including blood pressure checks, urinalysis and height/weight etc for different groups of patients 3 Lifestyle advice including smoking cessation, weight management 4 Foot checks for Diabetic patients 5 Phlebotomy 6 Flu/Pneumococcal vaccinations 7 B12 injections 8 Stitch and clip removals / Simple dressings 9 ECGs 10 Maintain infection control standards Admin 1 Medical records summarising 2 Call and recall letters for nurse clinics 3 Ordering of stocks, supplies and stationary 4 Monitoring of vaccines and other drug stocks 5 Ordering health promotion literature and organising displays 6 Carrying out other admin duties that may be required Other 1 Maintain confidentiality at all times 2 Act as a chaperone, (after appropriate training), during intimate examinations as and when necessary in line with the practice chaperone policy documenting every occasion in the patients records using the practice chaperone template. 3 Attend and participate in practice meetings and communicate effectively outside of meetings 4 Maintain health and safety at all times Training 1 You will need to engage in ongoing training to learn the skills required of this developing role as well as mandatory training relevant to the practice team.
