You will be joining a fantastic team who form part of the Dorset Integrated Urgent Care Service within the Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service to support and assist the trained nursing team during overnight mobile visits to patients in their own home. DIUCS brings together NHS 111, the Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service, a single point of access for professionals, urgent treatment centres and minor injuries units Integrating these elements, which are provided by a range of partners, presents the opportunity for more people to receive seamless urgent advice and/or care, and reduce the strain on primary care, our EDs and the 999 service. As part of your Health Care Assistant, you will be working in pairings with an registered nurse so you are always part of a supportive and collaborative unit. Our service comes equipped with three lease cars which are used during shift covering the whole of Dorset, driving is share in your pairing. The vehicles are stocked with essential nursing equipment, which may be required when visiting including catheters, wound dressings, palliative care stock. This is a permanent position supporting a 24/7 service. The post holder will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service including evenings and night working.
