Our goal is to maintain the highest standards of patient care whilst remaining internationally competitive. The Post An exciting opportunity has arisen to join SNBTS as a Practice Educator and we are looking for a registered nurse to join our team. This new role will take forward implementing and sustaining the practice learning experiences across all SNBTS sites, engaging with multiple Higher Education Institutes, NHSS Boards and nursing teams across multiple services. The Candidate Candidates should be educated to Degree level or demonstrate equivalent experience and are required to have extensive Band 5 experience in supporting and supervising learners in practice. The position is within Patient Services, SNBTS Transfusion Team but the role will work across SNBTS/NSS and will be based in Edinburgh; however travel throughout Scotland is required. Excellent communication skills and the capacity to adopt a proactive approach to problem solving in order to recognise and pursue opportunities to develop the role are fundamental to the success of the post. The ability to demonstrate initiative and a flexible approach to the workload are essential. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme/Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency. Candidates must have current NMC registration at the time of applying. Location and Working Pattern: Based at the Jack Copland Centre with a requirement to travel across sites as required i.e Dundee, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness. Currently hybrid working. Monday to Friday, 15 hours per week It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
