You will have the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in the management of patients undergoing various cardiac echocardiographic procedures. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, good time management, be able to work well under pressure both within a team and independently and work flexibly to the needs of the service. Previous experience in Cardiology is highly desirable, however training will be provided for specific procedural roles. The post holder will assess, plan, evaluate and deliver all relevant aspects of patient care in a caring, compassionate, and sensitive manner. Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the clinical governance process. Act as a mentor/preceptor to junior staff and students. Specific procedural responsibilities include undertaking various cardiac echocardiographic procedures such as, pharmacological (dobutamine) stress echo and physiological (supine bicycle and treadmill) stress echo, bubble and contrast studies and Transoesophageal echocardiograms.
