An interest or certificate in surgery would be preferred but is not essential. Our typical day runs from 08:30 - 18:30 with protected breaks and lunchtimes. Our weekends are Saturdays only and are shared evenly between our full-time vets. Saturdays run from 09:00 to 16:00 with a two-hour gap for lunch and in case there have been any admissions to catch up on. About the rota This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week with 1 in 4 Saturday shifts. Want to know more about us? We offer a high end first opinion service to our clients with facilities including laparoscopic surgeries, orthopaedic equipment, vetseal, endoscopy, rhinoscopy, ultrasound digital and dental x-ray and an in-house laboratory. Our state-of-the-art clinic has been recently refurbished allowing an efficient workflow. Our caseload is large and varied with many longstanding, loyal clients. We work closely with the Scottish SPCA and other local charities to perform surgeries, consultations, and legal casework. Meet the team Our motivated, friendly team is made up of 9 Veterinary Surgeons, 14 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Veterinary Care Assistants and 8 Support Team staff. We have surgery certificate holders and vets working on opthalmology dermatology and internal medicine certificates.
