Location: Various Locations in Aberdeen Duration: Supply/Casual/Relief Roles that require PVG Membership Please note that with effect from 1 April 2023, where a role requires PVG membership, candidates will be required to meet the cost of the PVG membership. This applies only to roles with a full time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above. (Teaching roles and jobs at Grade 12 and above (currently £32,555 per annum / £16.92 per hour) The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members, and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first FULL month’s salary payment. Job Purpose/about The Role Being an active member of a large front of house team, providing security and customer care at all the Aberdeen Art Gallery and Museums venues. The job also includes providing specialised support for Collections work. The post involves working closely with all of the other Art Gallery and Museum teams and assisting where and when required. The job requires working on a set rota pattern with weekend work on a regular basis occasional evening work and lone working is included . The Post Holder Needs To Hold As a Minimum Educated to Standard Grade or equivalent Possession of a current First Aid certificate or able to study to achieve one The Postholder Is Able To Demonstrate Excellent customer care and good interpersonal skills gained through previous experience of working with the publicProven experience in Security work Effective communication with a wide range of people both orally and in written form.
