For more details on the post, please see contact information details We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic and reliable individual to join the Sleep Physiology team based at both Royal Stoke and County site. The Sleep Physiology Service provides a comprehensive range of investigations and treatments for patients with a wide range of sleep disorders. The post holder will assist in the provision of the department's Sleep Physiology Service. The duties will include preparing patients for sleep investigation, issue and download of home diagnostic equipment and recognition of valid data, maintenance and calibration of equipment and helping to deal with patients' CPAP therapy issues. Applicants should have a good standard of general education. It is desirable that the applicant has a scientific background, be computer literate, has worked in the health care sector and has access to a vehicle. Service operating hours are 08:30 - 19:30 Monday to Friday and the post holder will be required to work between these and at both hospital sites. In addition, there will be a opportunity to undertake a Level 4 Healthcare Science Associate Apprenticeship in the future, likely to be Apr - June 2025 start date when appropriate for the service. Ability to organise and provide a high standard of patient care Interpretation Skills Ability to manage and prioritise own workload Ability to work well under pressure and under own initiative Ability to function well within a busy team environment An understanding of sleep medicine terminology Have an understanding of infection prevention Ensuring a clean, tidy, safe and efficient working environment, cleaning and calibration of equipment. Liaise with other team members regarding stock control and ordering The post holder may have contact with patients who have varying mental, emotional and physical needs; they will need to display tact, diplomacy, empathy and compassion whilst remainingprofessional and at times assertive. The post holder will be required to work within the boundaries of their role, recognising when to refer or escalate to senior colleagues. "}
