As a Therapy Assistant you will be working with Neurological patients within their own homes, nursing homes and residential homes as well as in an out-patient clinic setting at Ellesmere Port Hospital and Tarporley Hospital. You will also be working jointly with qualified staff to deliver groups in our out-patient clinics at both hospitals. Previous experience of working in the community setting would be desirable, but full training would be given. There is the opportunity for ongoing training and development within this role. Access to a vehicle is an essential. Part time - 22.5 hours per week To support qualified staff with joint treatment sessions To carry out prescribed treatment plans with patients in their home environment as well as in an out-patient clinic setting Participate in the delivery of classes to groups of patients within an out-patient setting Ongoing feedback and discussion with qualified staff around the management of patients Be responsible for administrative work around the organisation of classes Write up patient notes on EMIS Maintenance of stock levels and ordering of equipment Attendance at group meetings for clinical discussion around the management of caseload and the allocation of new patients Attend relevant training sessions and take responsibility for ongoing learning General housekeeping duties within the department CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care – including the provision of three GP surgeries.
