AIT is an established multi-disciplinary team that work with individuals with learning disabilities who have complex challenging behaviour and/or mental health issues and are currently at risk of placement breakdown or hospital admission. Many people will also have additional diagnosis including Autism and/or ADHD. Utilising a trauma informed approach, the team aim to minimise placement breakdowns within the community and support timely discharge where hospital admissions was unavoidable. Working in a multi-disciplinary team with adults with learning disabilities and the large networks around them. The Assistant Psychologist will be based in the Assessment and Intervention Team (AIT) working with adults at risk of hospital admission due to mental health crises or severe behaviour escalation. The Assistant Psychologist will utilise psychological assessment and evidence based intervention to improve outcomes for adults at risk of hospital admission. The partnership between Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust (BEH) and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) is going from strength to strength since it was originally established in 2021 forming the North London Mental Health Partnership.
