There is no expectation that candidate will have any endoscopy experience, just a willingness to learn some new skills in a busy environment. Comprehensive training will be provided within the Department. Working under the supervision of the qualified staff, the HCA/Endoscopy Support Worker will participate and support the members of the multi-disciplinary team in delivering high quality patient care. Participate in the decontamination of endoscopes and other specialised equipment including the maintenance and traceability of instruments. The role may involve assisting the Endoscopist with simple accessorising during procedures under qualified staff supervision subject to training. MTW is a large acute hospital trust in the south-east of England.
