We are seeking to appoint 2 motivated nurses or radiographers for the role of Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) Clinical Support Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the new CDC currently being built at the Metrocentre, Gateshead, and being a part of delivering diagnostic services to the communities of Newcastle & Gateshead. Reporting to the CDC Deputy Manager, you will support them in day-to-day management of the CDC. To assist in the ongoing financial management of the CDC, recruitment and selection of staff. You will be responsible in the setting and maintaining of high standards of patient care, and also hold a key role in the education and training within the CDC. You will support the CDC Deputy Manager to ensure the provision of high quality, safe patient care ensuring effective and efficient operational management and effective use of resources for the clinical services delivered at the CDC. The post holder will ensure staff work within the appropriate governance arrangements in place across the Centre, to deliver high standards of patient care and minimise clinical risk. You will support the CDC Deputy Manager to improve current services, investigations and treatments as part of the multi-disciplinary team. You will provide assistance and advice to other nursing staff, allied professionals, patients, families and carers, and work flexibly as part of the management team to provide appropriate management cover during the opening hours of the centre which are 8am-8pm 7 days a week. Based in the North East of England we provide a range of hospital and community health services from our leading facilities, including the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Blaydon urgent care centre and Bensham Hospital, all within Gateshead.
