About The Role As a Care & Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in supporting older and vulnerable adults in their own homes. Operating between 7am and 10pm seven days a week, you'll provide assistance with daily living tasks based on individual care plans. Whether it's administering medication, personal support, or helping with meals, your empathetic and respectful approach will make a real difference to our tenants' lives.?You'll have the time to get to know our tenants and are trusted to give each person the care and support they need, in the way they like. In return for your enthusiasm and commitment as our Housing Care Worker, we will offer you: Hourly Rate: £12.25 - £12.50 per hour Availability: Morning shifts, back shifts and double shifts, including alternate weekends Guaranteed Hours: 21 to 28 hours on a 2-weekly rolling rota basis Job Type: Permanent Contract On-Site Working: Our tenants are all based within one housing development, designed for later living and maximising independence. The Ideal Candidate What we're looking for in our Housing Care Worker: Has experience in the care sector and working with older people or other vulnerable members of a community, so you will understand and have an appreciation of their needs and know how to meet these. Holds an SVQ in Health and Social Care or relevant qualification. Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills. Possesses basic IT skills. Previous experience is preferred but not essential; we provide comprehensive training and support. What matters most is your passion, empathy, and dedication to helping our tenants live their lives to the fullest. Closing Date: 12 noon27 August 2024 Please note this role is subject to satisfactory interview, references and a PVG check. You will be required to register with the SSSC, complete mandatory training within a timeframe and the commitment to studying for an SVQ in Care & Support if you do not already hold this qualification.
