We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills. You will have significant, successful experience of planning, organising and facilitating activities. You will have the ability to tailor activities to suit the needs and abilities of the patients and to plan, prepare, and deliver sessions for both groups and individuals. You will develop an activities programme and use a range of activities to provide group and individual sessions which promote physical, social and mental well-being working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide meaningful activities. You will communicate with the patient, the relatives/carer, and multidisciplinary team and external agencies involved in the provision of the patient’s care and report all communication as required. NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
