The successful applicant will join Woodend Nursery in one of our playrooms to support the delivery of a high standard of childcare, contributing daily to the children’s development and planning. This post would suit candidates who are looking for an opportunity to develop their Childcare careers within an NHSG Nursery. Applicants should have some previous experience of working with children aged between 6 months and 5 years and have a willingness to learn and develop into the role of a Nursery Assistant. Applicants should be willing to interact with the children at their individual levels and be proactive in the day to day care of the children. Ensuring that their overall needs are met through both indoor and outdoor play. Applicants must be willing to be part of the nursery teams, be supportive and show good communication skills. Applicants should be willing to work towards or have the following qualifications as per the SSSC requirements for the Support Worker role: SVQ Level 2 Social Services for Children and Young People (SSCYP), NC in Childhood Practice or equivalent. Flexibility between the working hours of 6.30am - 6.00pm are required working on a full-time rotational basis.
