The post will be based at the Proton Beam Therapy (PBT) Department and is available from as soon as possible for the duration of a year. This post would be suitable for a candidate seeking oncology and radiotherapy experience. There will be a unique opportunity to have exposure to modern radiotherapy planning at one of the two national PBT centres, including involvement in clinical trials and projects. This post is 0.7WTE (28 hours) Monday to Friday with no on-call commitments. It is essential that candidates have core competencies of Foundation Year Two (or equivalent), relevant experience and an interest in haemato/oncology. GMC is desirable and good team working skills and an excellent command of English are also essential. NHS experience is preferred. This vacancy may close before the current listed closing date. Key Roles And Responsibilities Include  Provision of outpatient clinical care of PBT patients Reviewing patients in radiotherapy on-treat clinics Management of acute radiation/chemoradiation toxicities Timely review of unwell PBT patients and arrangement of emergency care and admission if required.  Providing physical medical cover in GWB through all operational hours Attendance in MDT and pre-planning meetings Attendance in new and follow up outpatient clinics  Management of patients recruited onto clinical trials  Supervised PBT radiotherapy contouring and image review  Completing end of treatment summaries  Facilitating the collection of clinical outcomes  Active involvement in PBT research, audit or quality improvement projects University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) is one of the most complex NHS trusts in the UK, serving a large and diverse population.
