We have 3x Band 3 positions available for Heathcare Support Workers and we are looking for passionate, caring, motivated people to join our highly skilled midwifery teams. 2x vacancies in the Birth Centre - hours to be discussed 1x vacancy in Ward 119 Post Natal Unit - 34.1 hours Birth Centre Role Includes Support families at this special time- support when trained for breastfeeding Clinical assistance to Maternity care Assistants, registered midwives /medical staff Observations under the supervision of a registered Midwife Scribing and helping at deliveries Rotation to other maternity areas if need arises Escorts Helping with designated roles at emergencies Documentation Hydration and dietary requirements Audits and infection control Ward 119 Roles Include: Part of the wider Ward 119 team to ensure smooth running of the Antenatal/Postnatal Ward Supporting families during their inpatient stay Observations and Venepuncture under supervision (following training) Clinical assistance to Registered Midwives, Maternity Care Assistants and Medical Staff Supporting families with newborn care including feeding (following training) Ward clinical duties including cleaning and making of beds & stocking up Ensuring patients are meeting basic nutrition and hydration needs Assisting the Multi-Disciplinary Team in emergencies Courses available to develop your clinical skills Ward 119 is a fast paced, 32 bedded in patient ward for antenatal and postnatal patients. We deliver high quality, individualised midwifery care to patients at any time of their pregnancy and postnatal period. Necessary training will be provided.
