Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) is a fast paced, rapid assessment unit for medical patients who have been referred by the Emergency Department (ED) or primary care. The ambition of the unit is to deliver quality care to patients within the same day in order to avoid a hospital admission- when safe to do so and also reduce ED attendances. Ensuring patients are in the right place, receiving the right care. The Care Support Worker (CSW) we need on this unit will be motivated, eager to learn new skills, approachable and positive. Main duties of the job - Prioritising patient care,nutrition and assisting with comfort breaks - Observations, weights, CBG's, urinalysis - Venepuncture, Cannulation, ECG's - Collating patient history and assisting with assessments - Supporting the Multi disciplinary team About us On the last happiness survey to measure our colleagues happiness at SDEC, we scored 97%!
