The role will be split 50/50 between the two service areas listed above. Assist the pharmacy manager with the training of all staff, including encouraging and organising attendance on relevant recognised courses (NVQ, Buttercups/Bradford etc). Assist with the recruitment of pharmacy staff in line with Trust policies and procedures. Ensure appropriate levels of staff cover by being involved in annual leave approval and study leave. Responsible for arranging regular destruction of controlled drugs with a representative of the Trust Board in attendance and maintaining monthly CD stock checks Assist the pharmacy manager/operations manager and the pharmacy support services manager with monitoring workload and ensure workload is managed consistently throughout the day by the effective deployment of staff.
