The role will be based at our head office in Hemel Hempstead , but will be flexible to include home and multiple location working in line with BAM's flexible working policy. We are looking to recruit a public health engineering apprentice to work alongside our public health design team and to work closely with our associates in developing our business. The successful candidate shall demonstrate a basic engineering knowledge, with enthusiasm to develop and grow in experience. Specific structured and unstructured training will be given as part of the role to develop skills in building services engineering and sustainability. This will be via BAM's central apprentice programme. Your mission Support the Senior Management team and PH team leaders in all aspects of the MEP development and resource planning Advocate knowledge sharing to all members of the project teams Engage with project delivery teams and encouraging collaboration from early design stage to final handover. Ensure all projects are designed and managed in line with our duties under the CDM regulations Commit to undertaken personal continued professional development with a view to achieving chartership and/or membership to a professional institution (e.g. CIBSE) Who are we looking for? Candidates will typically have at least three A levels at Grades A*-C including Mathematics and Physical Science or their equivalent or will have completed a Level 3 Apprenticeship as a Building Services Design Technician Be a team player, proactive and self-motivated. Good time management skills in order to commit to work deadlines. Possess excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to explore, learn and use new technologies and software.
