You need at least two years post qualification experience. We are an All Age Adult Mental Health Service. We have been integrated for many years with our health colleagues and this provides a supportive place and multi-disciplinary team working environment. You will provide an important and valued professional function working with some of the most vulnerable people in society. Your professional expertise and approach will ensure individual needs and aspirations are always supported, management of risk and safeguarding is of paramount importance. Our Trust has signed up to the Think Ahead Programme to ensure we look at the future of social workers in mental health. Travel is an essential part of this job and therefore you need access to transport. You must hold a Social Work Qualification, and be registered with Social Work England. Experience of working with Older adults with mental health needs would be an advantage. We offer a relocation package of up to £8,000** Please see information below. As an experienced social worker you can expect to have a capped caseload and be supported in relation to your ongoing development in the area of Mental Health You need to have a passion/interest in mental health and there will be opportunities in the future to train as an AMHP. Ideal to have some experience of BIA Dols Court of protection work complex safeguarding social care act. You will need to be compliant with the Social Care Act, Safeguarding, Human Rights Act, Mental Capacity Act and associated Codes of Practice for this this role. You will need to have experience of working with the service user group and be able to use social work methods to promote positive change, independence and wellbeing in accordance with assessed need, whilst promoting choice and control for adults and carers. Working knowledge of relevant legislation and ability to apply legislation to practice including the Children Act 1989 and good IT skills to support accurate and timely case recordings. CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care – including the provision of three GP surgeries.
