To be actively involved in professional activities within the Occupational Therapy profession and outside the profession, e.g. multi-disciplinary forums and networks. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical specialist occupational therapist to lead and work as part of an established and dynamic surgery and vascular and trauma and elective orthopaedic multi-disciplinary therapy team. We seek an individual who is autonomous, forward thinking and enthusiastic to work with us within the surgical and orthopaedic wards. Our cardiovascular centre at Guy's and St Thomas’ provides a wide range of services to the local population. The vascular unit also has a national and international reputation for clinical excellence and innovation. We also provide specialist services to our Gastrointestinal patients with complex surgical needs. We work collaboratively with an award winning amputee rehabilitation team. Our orthopaedic service is growing into one of London’s largest orthopaedic services with specialist interest in hip and knee replacements and revisions, complex spinal surgery, complex foot and ankle surgery and upper limb surgery including a full trauma services at St Thomas’ Hospital. The successful candidate will manage a variable and complex clinical caseload with a high proportion of amputees, complex surgical and orthopaedic conditions in this fast paced environment.
