Key Responsibilities: Clinical Practice : Ensure the highest standard of evidence-based clinical care in line with NHSCSP guidelines for all patients attending Colposcopy Clinics. Leadership : Take a lead role in clinical colposcopy-related enquiries from Cytologists, Pathologists, GPs, and other clinicians. Provide emergency cover to prevent clinic cancellations at short notice. Management : Manage day-to-day care for all patients in the clinical area, continually develop, implement, and evaluate the Lead Nurse Colposcopist role. Education and Research : Influence patient care through clinical practice, leadership, education, research, and audit. Support and guide colposcopy trainees as a recognized Colposcopy Trainer. Human Resources : Take responsibility for the Colposcopy service and nursing staff working across the service/site. Qualifications and Experience: Current Nursing and Midwifery Council Registration. Practice independently as a nurse colposcopist, accredited by the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP). Exceptional clinical capability and experience in Colposcopy services. Hold or be working towards a Master's degree in a related subject.
