The team play a key role in the front-line service provided to our patients. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that all administrative processes are carried out in a timely and accurate manner to assist the smooth delivery of the clinical services and use excellent communications skills both internally and externally with parents and professionals. They will be highly conversant with technology and the use of Trust systems would be beneficial. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that all administrative processes are carried out in a timely and accurate manner to assist with the smooth delivery of service. The post holder will manage referrals received and waiting lists for all services using Trust Systems and processes. The post holder will be responsible for managing the patient appointment booking line within the service, booking, amending, and issuing clinic appointments for children as required using the Trust systems. An understanding of 18week RTT principles and adhere to these when booking patients. In conjunction with the Unseen Child Policy. They will maximise use of clinic slots to ensure a cost effective and efficient service is provided. Liaise with parents, clinicians and third parties to arrange appointments as required within service targets. Liaise with General Practitioners, school settings and other health professionals regarding appointments and patient enquiries. To ensure that patient letters/report/minutes are typed and distributed within Trust time scales. Provide Typing and Secretarial Support for patient reports and correspondence, some with version control, as necessary. Maintain accurate electronic patient records. Maintain comprehensive electronic filing systems. The post holder will develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, carers, clinicians, medical staff and other admin and clerical colleagues. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the development of Admin and Clerical processes and identify improvement areas. The post holder will be expected to participate in cover arrangements within the team. Assist the administration team lead with the co-ordination of meetings, diaries, preparation and organise travel as required. Assist with the development of visual resources for teaching/presentations as required.
