The Birmingham Women's Pharmacy Team sits within the BWC Pharmacy Department; a busy department dealing with a wide range of specialties. Main duties of the job To ensure medicines are prescribed safely, economically and are appropriate to the needs of the patient across various specialties. Provide advice on pharmaceutical care to healthcare professionals and patients. To record clinical interventions and medication incidents to highlight areas of concern. To provide medication advice to patients and their families to ensure they are aware of their medicines and potential side effects. To analyse directorate finance reports and identify cost saving opportunities. To partake in clinical audit and service improvement projects. To support antimicrobial stewardship.
