We welcome applicants with a clinical background to apply for the Band 8a Quality and Governance Matron The Quality and Governance Matron, using their knowledge of clinical and quality governance and experience, will support the Associate Director of Nursing & Care Group Triumvirate, to ensure the efficient and effective and co-ordinated governance of quality, patient safety, risk and incident management. They will work closely with the Associate Director of Nursing, as well as other key stakeholders to ensure measurable improvement within the Medicine Care Group and the Trust, and to ensure the Medicine Care Group meets statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements for safe and effective patient care. They will be working across 3 sites within CDDFT and will be required to provide and receive complex, sensitive and potentially contentious information in the area of clinical governance. The post-holder will be able to persuade, motivate and train all key stakeholders and provide direct support in meeting and achieving expectations of the Board in respsone to complaints, CQC enquires, PHSO enquires and support clinical teams produce reports in relation to patient safety issues and consideration for Coroners requests.
