PALMS (Positive behaviour, Autism, Learning disability, Mental health Service) is evolving and seeking to welcome a Band 8a Clinical Psychologist, who is a motivated and forward thinking clinician and leader who can work flexibly and is committed to supporting CYP and their families across Hertfordshire and West Essex and the full PALMS team. Responsibilities of this job role If you are successful in your application to this post, you will be expected to manage and deliver on the responsibilities outlined below as well as those not included here, call today to discuss further: Prepare assessments, intervention/review reports and discharge CYP referred to the PALMS Team based upon appropriate use, interpretation, and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including semi-structured interviews with CYP, family members and others involved in the CYPs care, self-reports measures, rating scales and direct & indirect structured observations. Formulate and implement plans for the formal intervention and/or management of CYP presenting difficulties, including challenging behaviours, toileting, feeding, sleeping concerns, problematic sexualized behaviour, and/or mental health difficulties; based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the CYPs needs and employing methods based upon evidence of efficacy, across the full range of care settings and with other colleagues and services as appropriate.
