The Reception and Booking clerk role encompasses a wide variety of duties and will require the successful applicant to provide a comprehensive, efficient and accurate, administrative service. The post holder will manage their own workload and act on an independent basis as required. The post holder will provide a friendly and efficient reception service for all visitors to the department whilst ensuring the area is well maintained, patients are registered for their appointments, follow-up appointments are booked, clinics are prepared and admissions/outcomes/coding are all completed by the close of the day. The post holder will be required to work as part of the administration team providing outpatient bookings, answering patient queries, maintaining electronic patient records and working closely with clinical staff to deliver the highest standards of administrative support possible for all patients and staff.
