At present, we are seeking full time and part time Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS) on 6-12 month fixed term contracts to join our community teams at North London Hospice. The Hospice is home to many diverse departments such as nursing, medical, clinical, cleaning & catering, and our corporate departments such as Marketing and Communications, Finance, People and Fundraising. Alongside these services we also have 18 retail stores across North London playing a vital part in generating money for us so that we can continue doing the work we do. Main duties of the job This is a rewarding opportunity for you to join our dedicated Community teams which cover three London boroughs (Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey) as we work to provide the best of life, at the end of life, for those who need us most. You will have the chance to use your holistic knowledge and skills to make a valuable, positive difference to the lives of those suffering with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones. The CNS contributes to the provision of specialist and end of life care in the community for patients diagnosed with life limiting illnesses and their informal carers. Working with the MDT, accepting patients to agreed criteria and managing a shared caseload. They will provide advice, education and support to patients, their carers and other health and social care professionals. They will contribute to the development and smooth running of the service. The post holder will work to agreed professional, department and Hospice boundaries as required to provide patient centered seamless care and take part in the 7 day / week service to community patients.
