You would be joining a highly skilled and talented team rated as 'Outstanding' by the CQC. The client offers two care and support services to adults with a learning disability - Respite Care and Supported Living. Responsibilities You will assist individuals with their personal care needs and budgeting, as well as support with menu planning, shopping, cooking and domestic tasks. You will also provide support in accessing facilities within the community, including leisure activities and in promoting independence. To provide a service to people with learning disabilities and others within the community. To support and develop the independence of service users. To work within the team and in partnership with others to ensure that this service is of a high standard. To undertake tasks with the users of the service which ensure their physical and emotional wellbeing. To help assess the needs of particular individuals and develop plans to meet those needs. To treat service users with dignity and respect at all times. To support service users to achieve their individual goals and aspirations. To take personal responsibility for own Health, Safety and Welfare and that of colleagues in the workplace and service users. To take personal responsibility for achieving value for money where appropriate. Essential NVQ in Care (Level 2) or Health and Social Care Diploma or Care Certificate.
