You’ll have the chance to work closely with people who are ready for a fresh start, helping them achieve their goals and prepare for life beyond our accommodation. As a Support Worker at the Dick Stewart Service, you will play a key role in assisting male ex-offenders as they transition back into the community. Working closely with clients, you’ll provide support in daily tasks such as budgeting, personal care, and developing independent living skills. You will also contribute to the creation and implementation of personalised support plans, working alongside senior staff to ensure each client receives the care they need. This role requires you to work a flexible shift pattern, including day, evening, and sleepover shifts, ensuring 24-hour support for clients. You will participate in meetings, case conferences, and report writing, while assisting clients with appointments, life skills, and addressing personal challenges. Compassion, patience, and an understanding of the criminal justice system are key to success in this role.
