Main Duties/ Responsibilities As part of our commitment to patients and delivery of a world class service for all we have created the UHCW Improvement (UHCW) System in partnership with the Virginia Mason Institute in Seattle; this involves a structured approach to removing waste and putting the patient first using a lean management system and methodologies. Our culture and ways of working reflect and embed the practices and methodologies of UHCW. Responsible for own actions, ensuring all patient interactions/observations are communicated to the appropriate healthcare practitioner. Undertake agreed clinical and non-clinical tasks, to include, after the appropriate training and supervised practice liver fibro scans on patients identified by either the medical team or hepatology Clinical Nurse Specialists, to document the readings in the appropriate identified location to ensure results are communicated in a timely manner. Organise own daily workload to include ensuring availability of the fibroscan equipment for the appropriate clinics. Maintain a clean, safe work environment ensuring adherence to Trust standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control at all times.
