We welcome applications from experienced and newly registered Pharmacy Technicians who have the qualities to fulfil the requirements of this role. We are looking for somebody with a friendly demeanour, and excellent interpersonal skills which enable you to work well with other healthcare professionals. Confidence to use your own initiative is required, as well as; problem solving skills and the enjoyment from working as part of a team. Post is Band 4/5 depending on experience As part of the Medicines Optimisation team you will provide an effective, integrated ward-based pharmacy service. Undertake medicines reconciliation reviews on all newly admitted inpatients Liaise with ward teams to ensure patient safety Manage an effective system to ensure efficient and economic provision of stock Support the dispensary and other areas of pharmacy to ensure timely provision of medicines for patients Undertake mandatory audits and data collection Assist in the training and development of pre-registration technicians and other pharmacy staff. As an Accredited Checking Technician you will participate in the rota for final accuracy check of dispensed items for both inpatients and outpatients.
