Medical Education The post-holder will increase the faculty of doctors delivering education to undergraduate students and will work alongside current members of staff to develop an innovative and sustainable teaching programme which covers the MBChB curriculum for University of Sheffield students. This may comprise various methods of teaching including bedside teaching, plenary sessions, simulation and Virtual Reality. There is ample opportunity to provide leadership by organising delivery of teaching by other doctors within the trust There is scope to develop experience using simulation and Virtual Reality methods of teaching There will be the opportunity to develop links with the university and teaching fellows in other trusts The post holder will develop their skills in delivering training and education to a wide range of staff including medical students, Foundation and Core trainee The post promotes the delivery of the well established Medicine service and enhances our patient outcomes The post can be based at either of our main sites with established patterns of cross site working , The specific post will be discussed at interview depending on current vacancies with an expectation to contribute to the registrar rota The post holder will work as a Specialty Doctor/ Registrar as part of one of the subspecialties within medicine with a full shift rota. The rota is usually 1 in 5 to 1 in 7 daytime and overnight on call. We have forged close links between our Acute Medicine and Emergency Medicine Teams. As part of the Consultant led team the successful applicant will provide shop floor input and leadership. "}
