Working as a CAMHS Clinical Lead in Southend, you would have comprehensive knowledge and significant experience of working with young people in a CAMHS service. We are an effective, supportive and innovative team that cover the Southend area in Essex. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about helping young people and their families, interested in leading clinical developments with the team, supervising staff and supporting the manager to maintain and develop the highest standards of care and therapeutic support for the young people and their families who access our service. The clinical leads are expected to support the team and develop the delivery of care through supervision of some staff and by offering their input within MDT and leadership meetings. The role of the Clinical Lead is to support a range of 1-1 therapies within the CYP IAPT model and as indicated by the NICE guidance. You will have experience of supervising and managing others, you would also have a keen interest in developing innovative strategies to support young people and their families. As well as holding a reduced case load, the Clinical Lead supports their clinical team to deliver therapeutic interventions and continue development through supervision, teaching, and mentoring. Knowledge and experience of delivering interventions within child mental health is essential. Additional therapeutic skills and training such as CBT, SFT, Family / Systemic, DBT and other counselling approaches is desirable. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff). Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.
