For both overviews, please view the Job Description attachment with the job advert. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Band 6 dietitian to join our rotational team. This post will enter the rotations in gastro dietetic team at Hammersmith Hospital, where you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills, but also be involved in service development and student training. There are nine rotations each lasting one year: one at St Mary's Hospital: Critical care and respiratory; four of which are based at Charing Cross Hospital: Stroke, Gastroenterology, ICU/Neurosciences, Head and Neck/Oncology and four at Hammersmith Hospital: Renal, Gastroenterology/medical, Haemato-oncology and ICU/Cardiothoracic/Cardiology. Rotations occur in April each year. You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills, with formal training in parenteral nutrition, renal or critical care where appropriate. All rotations require skills to manage complex enteral tube nutritional support and multidisciplinary working. There are also some line management opportunities. AHPs are a vital staff group and the Trust is supportive of enabling professions to maximise the potential that they can bring. We have a developing Career Framework as part of the Trusts People and Organisational Development Strategy; supporting personal and professional development in careers along clinical specialist, academic and management routes. To provide a quality Nutrition & Dietetic service to both in and outpatients within Specialist Area in accordance with established departmental guidelines. To provide specialist Nutrition & Dietetic input into education, training and development programmes for undergraduate and postgraduate medical, nursing and dietetic students in addition to other training requirements. To contribute to the development and implementation of evidence based nutritional guidelines and service developments in the specialist area. Support the Dietetic Lead in the delivery of an efficient, cost effective and high quality Nutrition & Dietetic Service, demonstrating an awareness of financial constraints of budgets for supplements/ prescription in both in and outpatient settings. To be able to use relevant statistical and graphical software for data analysis and presentation for producing ad hoc reports and project work as required. To maintain good office procedures for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, and ensure the recording of statistical data in line with agreed procedures. "}
