To directly provide therapy, assessment, consultation and treatment, taking responsibility for managing own caseload, while sharing case responsibility and treatment care with professionals from within CAMHS and across partnership agencies such as Childrens Services. The Eating Disorder Nurse is responsible for supporting the clinical team in implementing Directorate and Trust initiatives at service level and for playing a key role in monitoring and evaluating the quality of care delivered locally. The Eating Disorder Nurse will be responsible for working independently and managing a caseload of clients, ensuring safe and effective clinical practices. The post-holder will provide clinical services including assessment, treatment, and monitoring of outcomes and the provision of clinical supervision, consultation and training. The post holders will also contribute to service evaluation, research and policy development. There are many opportunities available within the service in relation to continued professional development. We particularly welcome applications from Black and Ethnic Minority candidates as they are currently under-represented within the team at this level. The main duties and role of the position is the following, assessment and management of young people with eating disorders, assessment and management of common comorbidities including depression, anxiety, self-harm and OCD.
