You will work with customers from across the Wybourn estate, supporting engagement and ensuring consistency of offer to residents whilst aligning service delivery with the aims and objectives of the Jobs Plus Programme, as well as the guiding principles stated within the Community Investment strategy. What you'll be doing Being in-touch with the community on Wybourn and alert to their needs. Identifying what provisions are already in place and how effective they are establishing what new services are required, depending on local needs. Increasing awareness, understanding and knowledge of the Jobs Plus Programme of activity . Helping the project and funders understand the real needs of the communities they represent. Undertaking successful outreach and engagement - getting local people actively involved. Empowering local people to take part, have their voices heard and recognise that their concerns, hopes and needs are listened to and taken seriously. Addressing health inequalities in both the short and long-term. Assisting the project team with delivery of activities at the Pat Midgely centre and across the local area as required What we need from you Resident in the Wybourn community Knowledge of issues facing social housing customers and neighbourhoods Ability to engage and build relationships with potential or trusted partner agencies or organisations, developing appropriate contacts and future networking opportunities. Knowledge of challenges faced by customers in Wybourn. Willing to learn coaching techniques to help customers identify actions and solutions for themselves, promoting and maximising independence. Willing to learn how to deliver excellent service in a customer focussed environment. Good written and verbal communication. Ability to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner when working under pressure and maintain attention to detail. Proficient in the use of a wide range of Microsoft Office applications or the willingness to learn. Experience of administration and recording procedures, maintaining confidentiality in line with data protection and safeguarding regulations or the willingness to learn. The ability to develop and project a positive image of Great Places through personal, written and verbal skills Ability to act as an Ambassador for Great Places Experience and or willingness to learn an understanding of safeguarding A commitment to understand the challenges and opportunities that exist in the communities in which we work. We particularly value lived experience in social housing A passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities An understanding of professional boundaries and conducting yourself and a professional manner at all times.
