We are seeking an experienced nurse interested in working as a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse’s within the Accident and Emergency (A/E) department at the Northern General Hospital. This role will be vital in supporting the Senior Sister/Charge Nurses to lead a team committed to excellent standards of patient care. Working in an Emergency Department, that is a Major Trauma Centre; you will be working alongside a large multidisciplinary team including Emergency Department Consultants, hospital Trauma Teams, specialist nursing staff (Advanced Care Practitioners and Trauma Nurse Coordinators), allied health professionals and visiting teams. Develop and provide specialised programs of nursing care to a diverse range of patients and support to staff in the Emergency Department. Lead a team of qualified, support and student team members. Take charge of the Department and all Clinical Areas of the Department. Support the Senior Sister / Senior Charge Nurse in ensuring the highest standard and quality of nursing care is delivered and managing a team of staff. This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for the maximum period of 12 months.
