The medical secretarial team provides a comprehensive service to the Consultants and their teams and is essential in the provision of a high quality patient experience. The post-holder will support the administration and secretarial duties for the Obstetric & Gynaecology team. The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic team player and an experienced typist, and will be required to have GCSE English grade C or equivalent as well as typing and word processing skills to RSA level 2, including audio typing experience. A flexible approach to work is required and an ability to get on with others in a team based environment. Assists and supports the medical secretaries in providing an efficient medical secretarial service for the clinical team. Assists and supports the medical secretaries in achieving targets including CQUINs and validation. Assists and supports the Elective Access Clerk to provide an administrative service to the patient which supports the achievement of nationally and locally agreed access standards Provides cover for colleagues in their absence to maintain service levels "}
