We are looking for a candidate with experience and understanding of the health needs of children and families, and a good knowledge of Scotland’s Public Health agenda, including Getting it Right for Every Child, The Promise, and the Children and Young People’s Act 2014. Candidates will work in partnership with families, local authorities, and a range of other stakeholders to deliver high quality, evidence based, person-centred care. Candidates will be required to utilise a strengths based approaches to engage families, be able to identify risks and have experience of co-ordinating complex plans of care for children. Dumfries and Galloway offers an exceptional location with good transport links to major cities whilst affording the benefits of living in a rural location with excellent outdoor recreational pursuits and amenities. This post may involve clinic and home visits in remote and rural areas therefore a current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence, consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
