It has core inpatient beds and also includes an ambulatory care unit for same day emergency care. Our aim is for patients to be transferred to another ward area or safely discharged within 72 hours of admission, so the unit invariably has a high turn over of patients. It is a busy, vibrant unit which cares for a wide range of medical patients. You will have opportunity to help develop a large team of staff along with coordinating clinical care on a day-to-day basis and supporting the senior nursing team to provide clinical supervision to staff and excellent clinical care to all patients. In return you will be fully supported by the ward matron, 2 ward managers and practice development nurse.
