The posts will be fixed term contracts and various hours. Treatment for patients varies greatly from curative chemotherapy to palliative and end of life care, focusing on a holistic approach throughout and supporting patients with all aspects of care and discharge planning. Although fast paced this is an incredibly rewarding ward to work on. Staff in this friendly and supportive team develop a wide range of nursing skills and knowledge. The Anchor Unit as a whole is sociable, fast moving and progressive; actively supporting and promoting nurse led activities, development and further study; offering excellent opportunities for both professional and personal development. The candidate is required to have completed flying start post registration requirements. Whilst some oncology/haematology experience is desirable it is not essential. It is a requirement that the successful candidate if not currently on the SACT register undertakes chemotherapy module training after a period of time on the ward. Funding and support for this is provided. An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates.
