We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated clinical pharmacy technician to join the Acute Medicine pharmacy team. The post holder will be working with the pharmacy team in patient-facing roles within the Medical Admissions Unit (MAU), supporting the completion of medication histories, checking discharge prescriptions and providing specialist patient counselling. This post also provides a unique opportunity to work in the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) department, supporting in medicines management and patient counselling. The post holder will use their skills and knowledge to improve patient care and promote optimal outcomes from medicines. They will be expected to work autonomously as part of a team, including undertaking some leadership responsibilities including line management and mentorship for junior pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support workers. There will also be opportunities to undertake service improvement activities in the admissions unit and also in Pharmacy.
